Summer Smoothies

A smoothie is a delicious thick blended drink/beverage with a shake-like consistency. It is typically pureed in a blender which contains a mixture of fruits and/or vegetables as well as some liquid such as fruit juice, milk or yogurt.

The thickness of the smoothie is dependent on the ratio of liquids to solids added. To thicken the smoothie, reduce the amount of liquid added and increase the solids (including Ice). Adding powder to a smoothie is also an option to increase its thickness.
