Lebanese Fruit Cocktail

One of the many popular street desserts that you will come across whilst roaming the streets of Lebanon is a fruit cocktail that is topped up with nuts, ashta cream (clotted cheese) and honey.

Fruit Cocktail with Ashta

This delicious fruit cocktail is made using several ingredients. It includes freshly cut fruit, a base juice which is typically freshly blended strawberries or kiwi fruit, or both. it also has raw nuts such as walnuts or pistachio as well as Ashta and a garnish of honey.

Making the Cocktail

You need:
Range of Cut up Fruit
  • Bananas
  • Peaches
  • Kiwis
  • Apples
  • Mangoes
  • Pineapple
  • Strawberries
  • Ashta Cream
  • Raw Walnuts
  • Crushed Raw Pistachios
  • Honey


Blended Strawberries













Steps:
  1. Cut up your fruit into approximately 2-3 cm chunks.
  2. Blend enough strawberries to use as base juice in your cup. Blend them long enough until they become juice.
  3. Fill your serving cup with the fruit chunks then pour the blended strawberries on top until it fills up the cup.
  4. Add 2 Tbsp of Ashta cream on top followed by a garnish of Walnuts, pistachios and honey.
  5. Serve !

The best way to enjoy this cocktail is when it is cold!
